Our story

Founded in 2017 to do things differently. At a time when digital was still a buzzword, we were already creating strategic campaigns with real impact, always ahead of the curve.

Today, milk&black is the strategic partner for brands that want to go beyond the obvious, with ideas that gain traction, content that lives on social media, and narratives that turn presence into relevance.

We are milk&black: a digital hub integrating strategic communication, press relations, influencer marketing, digital content production, and our signature 24/7 design — so ideas are always ready to happen. All at the speed the world demands, without ever losing the authenticity that defines us.

Diana Taveira CEO & CFO

If their faces look familiar, it’s because you’ve seen them before on screen. Both were VJs at MTV Portugal, becoming the voice (and face) of a generation shaped by pop culture.

She’s driven by well-told stories and guided by a sharp strategic eye.

He brings a finely tuned ear for music and a rare instinct for digital culture and content production.

They started in television, but it was around a kitchen table, during a conversation between friends, that the question shaping their next chapter was asked:

“What if we created a communication and marketing agency our way?”

That question became milk&black: a place where creativity isn’t a department and strategy isn’t a PowerPoint slide. It’s a mix that simply makes sense.

Diana leads the agency’s global vision and growth strategy, ensuring every decision is guided by direction, sustainability, and real impact. Diogo heads audiovisual creativity, translating ideas into projects with soul, aesthetic intention, and living culture.

Thinking like a business. Communicating like culture.

That’s the combination behind milk&black — and the one that continues to move everything we do.

Mayara Veras

Head of Strategic Communication

With a degree in Public Relations and Advertising and a postgraduate specialization in Communication, Culture, and Information Technologies, Mayara built her career on critical thinking and communication as a strategic tool. Her path includes experience at a global communications company, a fashion agency with a showroom, and being part of the founding team of milk&black since day one.

Today, she leads the Strategic Communication department, playing a central role in shaping approaches, managing initial client relationships, and connecting teams and disciplines. Rigor, high standards, and commitment are non-negotiable. She brings strategic vision, clarity, and an analytical mindset focused on creating real value for brands and people.
